The earliest mention of growing pears in Europe was made by Homer in ancient Greece, a little less than three thousand years ago, who wrote that“Pears are a gift of God”.
Here, the animals are interacting together, under a pear tree, within the Garden of Eden, the interpretation of the mosaics called “Four Sacred Trees of the Paradise.”
Found in the 6th Century home of Farid al-Masri in Jordan.
